Henrietta
Gayle Bluebird has an alter ego known as Henrietta whose antics are the source of much laugher and fun at conferences. Gayle talks about her persona.
“Someone once asked me why I created Henrietta. I think it was one of my most daring moments in Henriettas history. She (Henrietta) had breast pasties, with her otherwise stockings and feathers. It was for a celebration at the Office where I was the Director of Peer Services. I honestly didn’t have an answer except that I always wanted to have boobs, to put it bluntly, and Henrietta fit the bill. Plus, it was everything I ever wanted to be, outrageous. Henrietta had a condom that she threw out at the end of the show and wouldn’t you know a high-level administrator caught it. I never got it back. I didn’t lose my job and the next day business as usual. Being an appropriately dressed Peer Director of consumer services.”

Partners in Art
Gayle Bluebird and Deb Trueheart have collaborated on several projects through the years, including an arts curriculum for the Academy of Peer Services.
